Default Aerohawk Questions

Hi all,

I was wondering, is the aerohawk capable of running on my Futuba T6XA?
Theres a transmitter included in the package, but I think that one is a fixed band.

A friend bought one, but keeps being fuzzy on the details. [:@] All I could pribe from him is that the heli has 3 PCB's.

So I'm kinda hoping one of those is a replaceable receiver.

Cheers,
Sven

Default RE: Aerohawk - Capable of running on other transmitters?

The AeroHawk comes with a GWS Pico receiver which is a normal but very small receiver. It works with any other european transmitter which operates on the same frequency band. My AeroHawk came with a 40MHz receiver and transmitter, and since the other transmitter that I use is 35MHz I just bought another GWS Pico-receiver which was tuned for 35MHz and it works fine. Check with the shop which band the AeroHawk is before you buy.

Default RE: Aerohawk - Capable of running on other transmitters?

That sounds brilliant! Ive got a MPX pico 4/5 reciever, stripped from its housing. Might this one work on it?

This next bunch of questions is a little off topic, but what the hey. :P
How come they are so very cheap? There must be a catch?
Ive read about the tail motor bogging out around pack charge 20, but that might be solved by using a tailmotor from a hummer heli?
Are there really no other drawbacks to it?

Ive seen this little micro fly, Its sertainly not an acrobatic heli, but It might be a nice introduction to heli flying? My friend told me the heli has a "Trainer" setting of somekind.

What does that gyro actually do, as in what should I expect of it? I allways thought a gyro makes the heli fly nearly on its own, but that is probably not the case atall. :P

Thanks for helping,
Sven

Default RE: Aerohawk Questions

*Bump* Another question.

Will this heli be nimble and strong enough to haul around a small wireless camera?
Perhaps some lipo's instead of the regulair pack would do the trick for weight concerns?

Cheers,
Sven
