Default to much power to the front?

i was running my savage and when i press the throttle most of the power from the engin like 90% of the power goto the front wheels, the rear stll spin but very little. the front spin so fast it juss skids. what do u guys think is wrong? pls help.

take apart your tranny and see if everything moves freely.

check the little pin that connects the rear outdrive cup to the shaft. (look right next to the brakes where you have to screw in that pin to make the rear wheels spin). kinda hard to explain...........

i know what ur talkin about the screw that goes through the drive cup right..u use a alen hey.

yea. you need to locktight it.....mine used to always fall out and i lost power to the front or rear end (which ever side the pin came out of)

The same thing happend to a friends EK4 & it was just that the 4 screws that held the Diff Case together lossened up & caused the Diff to Slip. Luckily we got to it before it damaged the gears. runs great now

more than likely it's in the diff. check the bearings on the diff, if there worn it will give the symptom that you described.

That happened to me... One of the wheel pins fell out somehow... Front tires would balloon like it was a Macy's Day Parade.

sounds like what was happening to me the diff cup was shredded on the inside.
