RE: aluminum clutch shoes
Yep, but I think part of my problem was the clutch bell got hung up on something......it completley shreded the bearings in the bell, I mean nothing left. My truck was still running but no bearings. That's what messed up my shoes, other than something like that I think the alum.... shoes are good.
BTW: Bash my truck a lot (ALOT)(concrete) and my bell pops off and strips.....any suggestions how to keep it on? I tried shimming it by putting a screw thought "the turning thing" with some washers(not touching wrong part of bearing).
Sorry of topic.

RE: aluminum clutch shoes
I would recommend them, it's just my bell pops off when I hit the concrete hard which lead to me stripping out the shoes. I mean even after it happend I shaved them down to put on the new spring and so they would fit right so I could bash some more while I had some new shoes and spring son order, heh.
Nothing stops my truck from running. EX: Front bulks broke from the chassy, so I ziptied them on to bash some more out at the lot.

my stock one is all but fried, mostly from
WOT run down the block, break-turn-skid 180, hammer the gas for WOT run back down the block..... repeat...
been thinking about a GREAT ASSEMBLY RC - 3-SHOE ALUMINUM CLUTCH
so id be intrested in what others have to say about them.

RE: aluminum clutch shoes
I run the Crazy Nut Racing 2 shoe aluminum shoes and love them. For $10 shipped you really can't beat them. I've had them for a little over a gallon now and still going strong.

RE: aluminum clutch shoes
Didnt do anything fantastic with them, they "failed" during thier first run, with my Sirio, installed correcty and all, just fused to the pins on the flywheel.
This was only my 7th tank on the new Sirio .18, and on its 8th tank I made the rear output shaft on (the sliding one) look like a candy-cane So going to put my MIP CVDs on tonight

RE: aluminum clutch shoes
Eric at GB Direct USA runs aluminum shoes in his Berg unlimited truck. He said they hook up great, but they have to be deburred after every heat. He's tried many, many clutch setups for his truck and he likes the 3 shoe aluminum best in spite of the high maintenance.
