Default I am NEW and very into RC

I just decided I am gonna guy my self a RC car. I find my self going to the local hobby store and watching the races, and I cant participate.

I dont know that much about RC cars so I have come here for help.

Two things I know is that I want a Nitro car ( electric too slow ) and I want an On road car. ( Touring cars, I guess they are called)

Also I want to build the car my self. Now I don't really know what I need.

Now if I buy a kit what exacly do I get?
What other parts do I need to get?
Is radio controller included with the kit?
Is the Engine included with the kit?
Is the gas tank included with the engine or the kit or seperate?
Does the body come with the kit?
Can 190mm and 200mm body sizes go on the same kit?
Are bodies painted or do I have to paint them?
What will this run me? You can tell me in US dollars I will convert to canadian.

And any other info I might have missed. Please help me out I cant wait to get running!

Generally when you get a "kit" all you get is the car. You will need an engine, radio, and servo's. Some you have to buy tires, bodies, etc., some you don't. You can also get a RTR (Ready-to-run) version of several cars. Generally, these cars aren't as good as the kit form of the same car but are usually capable of being upgraded to "kit" standard. I recommend this route for beginners b/c they are easy to get going and the quality of RTR's is getting better and better. You can upgrade them as you learn more about the hobby. For kits you will generally have to paint the bodies and for RTR's they are usually painted. Electrics use 190mm bodies while nitros use 200mm bodies.

There are a couple of places to look on-line. Here are a few.

So you want a nitro touring car kit? Ok first of all if I was you I would start out with an electric car. Nitros are alot of work and take some experiance. If your gonna get a electric touring car (which I would recomend) I would choose a RTR TC3, or a TC3 KIT! But you said you wanted a nitro touring car so I would recomend a NITRO TC3. I just want to let you know that when you buy a nitro kit is DOESN'T include; body $20 + paint, fuel $25 a gallon, radio $60-$300, fuel bottle $10, start box $50-$200, glow start $20, glow plugs $10 for 2, tires $40, AND an engine $150-$250!!! So now you can see that once you buy the kit you will still have to put about $400 more into it to get it running! so go with a rtr

Yeah I just looked it over and I kinda figured that a RTR is the right way to go. It gets me started and if I want to make it better I can just upgrade, thus learning. I dont want an electric car because it does not make the cool noise and it does not go as fast as nitro.

Any ways ... for the fuel. What kind of fuel does it use. Can I go to the gas station and get like 5 liters or is there special fuel i have to buy at the hobby shop?

"Can I go to the gas station and get like 5 liters or is there special fuel i have to buy at the hobby shop?" Yes, but make sure it is 93 octane only. I am kidding. Unfortunately, instead of spending $1.49 on gas rc's run off of the expensive stuff at $25 a gallon. Nitro engines can only run off of nitromethane. Please do not put regular gas in your RC car.
nrctc is right. Electric might be the best to start out with. Nitro engines can be quite testy sometimes and unless you have someone with experience that can help you, you can run into some problems. Here is a link for you to read that covers some of the basics.

they sell it 3 ways an rtr which would be better for beginners (like yourself) also a rear exhaust kit (rear rear exhaust engine and a side exhaust kit for side exhaust engines for you i would recomend the rtr version cause if you got a normal kit you would spend about $500 more just to get it running! so go with the rtr kit! its like $375 of so check it out on www.towerhobbies.com just type in NITRO TC3 RTR
