Default Bye Bye 2.5

I was racing the 2.5 t-maxx the other day and the engine craped out on me. The connecting rod was broke. My question is should i get replacement 2.5 from traxxas? or rebuild the engine. Or should i get the new 2,5 from traxxas and sell it to get money for a new more powerfull engine? Please leave some links o new faster engines if thats what you think i should do.

Someone else just posted this a while ago. Just get a upgrade engine for the truck... you won't have to tune as much compared to that 2.5

if you try to trad in your engine and then sell it you wont be making a whole lot. You should just upgrade to a better engine and not have to worry about tuning or running hot all the time

It's a great engine, lots of people are getting it, er....THEM!!!

3 engines, all IDENTICAL: Picco/Werks .21, OFNA .21, Orion .21
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGLL3&P=ML

But for some reason, the orion you link to is significantly more$$ than the others ($240), which can both be had for $200 on the nose at many e-tailers. Tower had the OFNA at that price for a while, but it JUST got bumped to $220.

Here are some links to this engine at good prices (again, they're all the SAME, so pick a just pick a good price & a color you like!!):

No idea why it's so cheap. I don't think it would work tho. The shaft looks like it's too long. The one you gave the link for is built from the ground up for the Maxx according to their ad in RCCA.

I found out that that engine is a General silicones and that it need a conversion kit to be able to fit into my maxx. Can someone please post a link for a .21 conversion kit? Also does anyone know if those angines are any good?
