I don't have an X-mod myself but my best friend is really into them. I know quite a deal about them so maybe I could help you out. We were actually going to compete in the XRL tournament using a couple of his cars (I don't have one of my own), but the date for the tournament here happened to be the weekend his family was going on vacation . That sucked.
