CF gear for a CA Extra 38%?
Hi,
My favorite landing gear company...Graphtec, doesn't make gear for the Colombo Anderson 38% Extra I'm building. Does anyone know anywhere else to buy CF gear? Troybuilt doesn't have them either.

If you don't plan on using the stock gear at all cut the legs off and then take the center piece. Geat a Carden Extra Gear and cut it in half. Use the center from the stock gear as a plate over the carbon gear. This is what I am doing and others have done as well. Seems to work well.

I take it that the carden gear is too wide?
I always like to keep my aluminum gear as a backup b/c my CF gear always seems to like to delaminate on me when I am at a contest. If you need to cut a piece out of the middle of it, you could get an aluminum plate to bolt it back with (a lot cheaper than what an aluminum gear costs) or lay more CF on it to join it that way so you don't need to ruin a good landing gear.

Great, that's what I was thinking on doing. Yes I checked and the Carden gear is about 2" too skinny. Was there any issue with prop clearance with the stock gear? When I built the 24% and the 31% the gear was too short. This gear looks a little taller however.

The ground clearance is pretty close when running a 32-10 but not a real problem. There are several in the area and running stock gear. I also had the 27% and it was close but did not require a new gear.
