1/4 scale servo power source
I am soon to have a 1/4 scale buggy, Im adding my MX-3 radio and reciever.
The Q is, Those big servos eat a lot of juice, What about the use of a Y harness to supply the servos (steering), with the power from a 6 cell 7.2v stick pack, and the reciever with a ordinary 5 cell 6v batt?
Is this the way a Y harness is supposed to work??
I have a 3000mah 7.2v stick pack and a 1100mah 6v hump pack.

RE: 1/4 scale servo power source
all receivers use only 6 volt battery packs max. You should use high capacity batteries like 2300 AA NIMH not 1100 AA nicad. The 3300 will work only if you make it a 6 volt pack max. The y harness is meant to run two servo on one channel only. unless specified by the radio manufacture.
