Did I buy ok?
I just bought some gear to get me started in the r/c car game.
I just ordered myself a tl-01 with a 7.2v GP 3300 nimh battery
I know the tl-01 isnt the greatest but im only a beginner and i am also on a very tight budget.
will I be ok with this setup?.
Is it true the tl-01 comes with a 540 motor and a mechanical speed controller?
any help or advise on my purchases are very welcome.
thanx guys.

RE: Did I buy ok?
The Bad:
Friction Shocks - garbage
Needs 22 bearings throughout the chassis
Direct servo steering.
Comes with MSC and no room to mount it.
Stock motor weak.
The Good:
Good battery Choice
Chassis - bulletproof
Completely upgradable
Tamiya quality
All in all good starter kit. Invest in an ESC, I use a GMV3R, but there are cheaper ones. I would also get the bearings. If you buy the bearings later, you will have to rip the car apart to get them in. Best to get them before the build.
