motor gearing

I am gpoing to put a new motor in my evader and i keep hearing that you have to change the gearing when you get a new motor. So, what pinion should i switch to for a 19 turn chameleon?

Probably the same or maybe one tooth less if its getting too hot.

big pinion small spur for speed, small pinion big spur for tourqe.
