Default tinting resin

Hi,
I have been glassing my own heli blades for years. My question is how do you tint resin or gelcoat to get a great color finish??

resin cannot be tinted or dyed; yuo have to use pigments.

Check with Fibreglast (http://www.fibreglast.com) for some examples and pricing.

Note!! The pigments aren't UV-stable. Light colors will turn BROWN in very short order unless you add some sort of protectant. A coat of wax works well here - use the same stuff you use on your car.

Here's an example of a recent sailplane wing I did. S-glass over spyder foam, EZ-LAM resin, 47B yellow and 45B red pigments.
