HPI 2 Speed Transmission Adjustments
Which Way Do You Turn The Allen Screw For Better Shifts
I Have One But It Doesn`t Seem To Be Shifting And Need To Know How Many Turns Out From The Bottom
Thanks

RE: HPI 2 Speed Transmission Adjustments
It might be too tight, so it never shifts. Go a turn or two out (CCW) between runs to see if it shifts.. and when you hear the shift, adjust it to your liking. It may also be too loose, so it starts in second gear, in that case tighten it (CW).
You will really hear the change in engine RPM when it shifts!

RE: HPI 2 Speed Transmission Adjustments
You know a while back I had one of those cars and it wouldn't shift right. I had screwed it in too far and the spring/ball/set-screw all kinda got mis-alined inside. I guess I cranked dwn too hard onit.
If it the adjust screw seams like it never bottoms out, that might have happened to you too. Once I rebuilt it it worked fine
The instruction say screw it in until snug and back it off 2 turns,
you can see them onthe HPI site
