Oh, didnt know the radio craft was sold intended for a single servo. More proof it works.

Thats because the PLANE was designed for one SERVO per aileron. The H-9 is not designed to use the inboard or the out board servo opening as an OPTION.

The 8611 is more than capable of handling the loads of the aileron on the 33% Extra. This setup WAS tested, but you have to remember, the Extra was designed before we knew about the 8611's, hence the dual servo setup. Also not everyone is going to want to spend the money for the highest quality servos out there.. and I REALLY wouldn't want to read about the guys crashing their new Extras from putting single, budget servos on this airplane.

Before I crashed it (my own fault) I changed out the 2 8411's to a single 8611 on each wing panel of my 46% Ultimate Bipe. I wouldn't trust any other servo in a single servo setup however.

bay 5 from root is where mine single servo, 8611, is at. that is the stock location of the FIRST generation Extra. that would be a good starting point. also use titanium rods and good 4-40 links.

on my H9 330 L, I had to go pull pull, seperate bell crank and two 8611's. With 6 volt batteries you only get 520 ounces of torque, talk about consistent knife edge performance. Why scrimp with several thousand already invested? Of course, I still believe in two PCM receivers, two switches and two batteries and seperate throttle and engine kill segregated between the two receivers. Better safe than sorry.
