Did you see that Fokker dr1 ? or the DC3 takeoff pic ? or... all those planes are unreal !

Absolutely awesome! Makes my 40% J-3 Cub look like a tinker toy. I would drive across the country to see a meet such as that. I wonder if we'll ever see the likes of these beautiful models in the US. Kinda hard to do and keep the weight at 55 lbs. or less.

Well guys, this is an annual event, so just get it plotted in your calenders.
Date: Last weekend in June 25/26 June 2005. (Be there on Friday also)
Location: Cerny Aerodrome, La Ferte Alais, France (30 min. south of Paris)
Organizer: IMAA-Europe [link=http://www.imaa-europe.com]www.imaa-europe.com[/link]
They operate with two categories of models, over 15 kilos (33 lbs) and over 25 kilos (55 lbs)
The latter requires an approvel from the french aviation authorities.
There is no upper weight limit.
The site also houses one of Europes best museums, and includes a lot of airworthy planes from 1908-1945.
