Default T-Maxx with 2.5

Hi,

I have a T-Maxx with the 2.5 motor and have been tinkering
with it for months and still cannot get it to run right, if at all.
Should I just get a new motor or are there any parts that I
can change on it to get it to run right?
I would really like to get it running so I can try it out and
see what it can do.

good luck with that.i got over 5 gallons out of mine but it was a constant battle.some days the thing would just totaly rip while the next day left me with a screw driver in my hand most the day.since i've put in a fantom fr18 and must say its much much better but if i had it to do again i would probably go with the sirio .18 or os .18.

Thanks for the info.,
I have had my T-Maxx for over a year and haven't been
able to run it since break-in. My truck idles fine but dies as
soon as i try to rev the engine. I think I may just get a new
engine and be done wit it.

I admit my Maxx has given me alot of grief but, I've never had any trouble starting it just tuning it. Some days it runs great, but sometimes I'm thinking " What is going on!?". tuning is way off! But I am a semi newb. I think the T-maxx 2.5 is meant for more experianced drivers because its a racing engine. I think its a great little truck but, the 2.5 is a pain to tune sometimes. I'm thinking about getting a new engine when its time for my rebuild but, i my only exp is with the 1.5 and 2.5. Great hobby

If you've had your truck for over a year and it hast run since break-in then you give up too quick! I'ts just tuning!
Your truck WILL run if it starts. Revving the engine and it dying is just a part of tuning.

the 2.5 is a beginners engine, may have race performance but built for beginners!
read the manual again to see how to tune it maybe u will learn something.
good luck with that if looking for replacement engine than go with the sirio .23 maxx engine ^$$$ but worth it! have fun!
