Small, Cheap 25cc kit?
I recently got a 25cc weed wacker motor that works great and so I was wondering if there are any cheap, small, hopefully inexpensive kits out there that will preform well on the 25cc motor. I was thinking some of the Dynaflte kits, like the PA-18 or the Fly Baby if they were still in production. Thanks.

I fly a Dynaflite Chipmunk (not Super) on a converted Homie 25cc and it flies well, however, I believe the kit is out of production. I also have that engine on a Balsa USA Phaeton biplane that I really enjoy. It's not an expensive kit.

Built up wing. No foam in the construction of the Ryan's Rebel. I guess you could make a foam wing pretty easy though. Probably won't be as lite.

BTW, I am trying to determine a color scheme for it. I have a website set up for "voting". If you can spend a minute or two, please check it out, and vote for your favorite.

For a bit more money you can get an Ultra Stick Lite. Alot of guys are mounting G26 or MVVS gassers on them. I'm putting a 3W24 on mine. That would be my suggestion unless you really want to build a kit.

I seem to remember seeing a Sig Four Star 120, that had a Homelite conversion on it, also - not sure if it was the 25cc or the 30cc, though, but if I recall, it was the 25cc.
They fly very well, and land like a butterfly.
I'll see if I can dig up a picture of it - it's been several years....

RE: Small, Cheap 25cc kit?
Sorry for the delay Tomcat. Ryan's Rebel is a scratch built model from plans, but goes together really fast. Parts can be cut out in a night or two. Once the parts are cut out you have a "kit". The tail is stick built, and the wing and fuse are straight forward. No crazy curves, compond joints or anything like that. If fact, the fuse has straight sides, kinda like a wedge. No canopy, cowl, or wheel pants to bother with either. If you are an average builder, you will find Ryan's Rebel easy to build and it will go together faster than most other fits. Maybe others who have built Ryan's Rebel will chime in here.
