Default RE: 97" Extra 260

The cowling is approximately 11.5" wide, it should be wide enough for a DA-100.

No single servo option exists for the wings. The issue is not power, a single 8611 would have been plenty. There are two other things that require two servos.

The aileron is long and thin. I don't believe that it would be stiff enough with only a single servo in the center, it would twist at the ends and not fly consistently.

Also, a single aileron servo and linkage, on a big plane, can flutter if the servo or linkage fails. If this happens the plane WILL crash.

Since the finished cost of a plane like this will be well over $2,000, one needs to think of redundancy in this area. Two servos gives a level of security that one cannot get with one servo.
