Default Edge 540 with a Moki 2.10

Good morning,
Do you have anyone that has the Edge with a Moki 2.10? Wonder what the weight would be? How it would fly? What about CG? ETC ETC.

Thanks, IFLYSLO

I get this question about once a week. It should be possible and it would be very light with that engine. You may need to move the elevator servos to the front and use CF pushrods to get it to balance.

I ask everyone with this question to report back their results if they do it.

Nobody has ever done that.

I fly the WH Extra 300L 28% with a Moki 210. This should be comparable to the Edge 28% (which I also fly with a DA50).
As Tom says, this is a very light combination and the plane is one of the best. It has a Hitec 5745MG jumbo servo up front for the pull-pull rudder, the single 2400mah Nicd is to the very front, but the elevator 5945MGs are in the tail. For my taste, the plane is in perfect balance like this, could even be more tailheavy for maximum 3D.

So what's the power like? Is there enough to pull out of a hover?

Sofar, it has only 6-7 flights mostly with a 20x8 prop. Moki's need a long breaking in and it's still running on a rich setting. Yes, it pulls out, but I'll let you know when it has more tanks through it and then with a 20 or 21-10W APC propeller.
