Hi all,

I was wondering what the amount of minutes a standard E-sky batterie lasts in flight time.
is it over 5 mins?

What do you mean by "standard". The 'smaller' batteries sold with an E-sky should be good for 6 to 8 minutes. The li-pro 11.1v, 1200mah battery is typically good for 14 to 18 minutes.

Note: the ESC and motors really should be allowed to cool after 6 to 8 minutes of flight. So, one 'big' battery = two 7 minute flights; two 'small' batteries = two 7 minute flights. The li-pro battery is lighter (lower head speed, likely less damage in a crash) but, will probably cost more than two 'smaller' batteries.

Also, you might be surprized at how long 6 minutes is when you're trying to get a heli to hover for the first (or tenth) time.

Good advice Pwterry on letting the motor to cool down. And you are right again on how long 6 minute of hovering feel like.
Oh the battery is Li-po for Lithium Polymer.
