Default Fuel Tank Stoppers

Are the black stoppers safe for Kero? They look like rubber, but not sure.

Drop them in a little can of jet-A and see. Wait about a week.

Hi Mike,

When are we going to see you in this part of the world again.

As for the stoppers, if they are listed for use with gasoline they are good for kerosine also, but if they are for glow fuel kerosine will destroy them quickly. I have seen black ones in both types, so you probably need to find one with the label.

Dawn and the Texas Gang,
I have orders for three years in Hawaii starting in May. I'll be in Pensacola in April training so I'll fly into Austin for the meeting. The beers good here, but can't get decent barbicue to save my life! See ya all soon.

I used a black stopper in a gas (petrol) tank and It just disintigrated. The instructions said it was OK for gas.

The brown ones are OK for gas and Kero.
