Default drug store castor oil?

Is this the same stuff? The nearest drug store is about 60 miles closer to me than the nearest hobby shop.[&o]I was thinking about spiking a jug of fuel.

Probably even purer and better filtered than that in your fuel. It is however very expensive from the druggist.

If you do a search, there was an earlier thread on this. Consensus was that it was OK. However, Clarence Lee commented once that the drug store type was not degummed and should only be used in a limited way.

OK as a lubricant for our purposes, if an expensive way to buy it. The detraction is that it isn't degummed TMK. The essential difference between lubricant grade and drug store approved for human consumption castor is that the latter has been further processed to ensure no toxic traces of ricin remain.

All:

USP castor is degummed. The difference between it and Baker's AA is as Sigrun said, tighter testing for ricin content. And the price, of course.

At my local grocery store (Winn-Dixie) it's $2 for a 2 ounce bottle of USP castor.
