***Sold, thanks!*** Byron MIG-15, What is it worth???
**Thanks for the help, model has been sold***
I have a brand new, built but never flown, BYRON ORIGINALS MIG-15 that I am helping and older flying buddy sell.
This has been finished in the "Russian Aerobatic Team" Colors.
It's wingspan is 57", length is 55", has a 600 sq. inch wing area, and ready to fly weight around 8.5 pounds.
Here is what the fella says is included:
5-blade "Byron-jet" fan
Byron engine mount for O.S. .61 to .65 engine
Byron Jet custom tuned muffler assembly for .61-.65 engines
Larger wheels
Extension shaft for starting engine
Assembly instruction manual
Starting and operation manual
Parts list and drawings
Model is finished in Lustrecote paint and Econocote covering.
Model has FIXED gear, NO RETRACTS.
Model does NOT have engine or radio gear
Buyer would pay for crating and shipping if required.
We live in the Seattle area.
Please let me know what a model like this should sell for.
We are hoping to sell locally for around $450-475. Shipping would be extra.
Here is a photo.
Thanks,
C&B

Matt
I don't think he would let it go that cheap. He has spent quite some time on this model..
I need to find out some more details about the finish/covering, retracts, etc.
I can be reached at 425-785-0093.
Thanks,

The rave these days are in turbine powered jet models. Ducted fan jets are a hard sell, and buyers out there are looking for bargains.
The Byron jets, and their power plants were not popular even in the heyday of ducted fan operation.
Your friend will be hard pressed to get a good price plus the cost of a crate & shipping. Jet flyers would rather invest that much money towards a turbine plane. You should let him know the market is not there.

Check on Ebay. People are currently having no problem at all selling IC ducted fan planes and equipment at decent prices. Do a search in the "Remote Control" category for "fan" or "jet" and follow the market for a few days. You might be surprised.

I talked with Harry and he says he will sell it as is for the $450 you offered. He could meet you at Marymore park.
Could you please call me at 425-785-0093 and I can put you two in touch.
Thanks,
Tom Graham
