Default glow plug threads stripped

Does anyone know how to rethread stripped engine head glow plug holes. The plug is loose and the threads have come out. You can push the plug in and pull out alittle, it is loose and won't tighten. I saw some adapters and rethreaders on an old add for ISC which is now out of business. Help.

Default Helicoil repair

Depending on how mechanical you are & if you have a good drill press or a freind does, you can do the repair yourself. If not take off the head, purchase helicoil and take to a good auto mechanic for the fix. Any one riding a older Harley can usually fix also. I almost forgot, if the cylinder and head is one piece, the engine must come apart also as shavings will go down when plug hole is drilled out for helicoil and get inside the engine.

Default Thank you Machinist Man

Thanks for the offer to help. I sent the head off to Lee to have a heli-coil placed. It cost 12.50 (my engine was a .91, if it had been a .90 or smaller, it would have been 8.50). I will let everyone know the end result when it arrives in a few days or weeks. Thanks again. Rick
