Default another dumb question about water proofing

When I water proof an electric truck (traxxas rustler) do I just put the balloon on the reciever? Or do I need to cover up anything else? (speed control?)

You definitely want to protect the esc - not with a balloon, though. It'll trap heat and the balloon will melt, resulting in a really sticky mess. Tupperware works great - find a small one that fits, and leaves enough room to circulate a little air. Just drill a hole somewhere that water is least likely to get in for the wires to come through. (or get an Mtroniks esc - their waterproof)

Im not sure if its an ESC or an MSC. It is the stock one on the rustler.

Well...I figured out that it doesnt matter...because there is too much snow for the truck to move! LOL! I tried putting my t-maxx wheels on it, but they were too big to turn lol.

esc vs. msc could go either way. If it runs off a servo, it's a msc. If not, it's an esc.
