What to do to my RC10 GT RTR...?
[size=6][font="Arial"]Hey, I plan on soon getting an RC10 GT RTR. I will mostly use it just around my home for fun onroad and off. I'd like your opinion on what I should upgrade it with, but keep in mind I'm "on a budgit" o, and i dont think im gonna upgrade to aluminum unless the plastic parts break and i decide to replace them as they go. Im more interested in upgrading the performance and not so much the look.
THnx

first get a bullet-proof tranny (not actualy bullet proof, but steel and titanium gears and maybe an aluminum case), next get a steel spur gear, these are the things you NEED. after that you may want to get a stronger, quicker steering and throttle servo, so your car wont seem so sluggish in the turns. a better engine would work well, my personal favorites are picos. also tires, get some good prolines. there is alot of small cheap stuff that you can do to an rc10 gt to get it to do what you want, take a trip down to your local hobby shop to see what stuff you can do, little adjustments.

I would upgrade to an .18 engine. Im not sure what engines are compatable with your truck .You should look into that. After you upgrade engine or if u dont want to up grade engine u should look into a tuned pipe. Also maybe some different tires. Try tower hobbies at www.towerhobbies.com. They should have any part u want.
You could also upgrade what fuel u use but i wouldn't get anything over 15% to break your engine in. If you know someone who drives cars or trucks ask them to break your engine in for you. You dont want to wreck it. After u run a gallon of 10% or 15% try 20%.
If u want radio performance upgrade your radio reciver and servos. You should try to stay with hitech or futaba stuff just an opinion but i prefer them over jr. Hope u find this info useful. If u have a question about where or how to find somthing ask and ill see if i can help you out.

After you break the engine in pull the carb. restrictor that alone well increase your speed. Next i would replace the front and rear arms with RPM, use captured steering links, now as far as the Tranny goes the only upgrade needed would be to replace the bushings with bearings, MIP 4in1 clutch shoes and a FailSafe, that should get you down the track a little faster.
