About the only thing that will soften it is acetone. You will have to soak it for a while in it. Test it first on an inconspicuous place to see if it will bleed the color first...good luck, been there done that.

Acetone can be purchased in a number of hardware stores such as Lowes, Home Depot and such. A gallon will run you about $10.00. Be advised nail polish remover has oil added to it to keep the acetone from drying the skin excessively.

Actually, acetone is pretty slow in softening cured Cya; pure nitromethane is the best solvent....it dissolves it pretty quick. Ironic, eh?
