Default savage gears Robinson Racing Products

Anyone using the Robinson Racing Products hardened steel spur and clutchbell gears, and if so how do you like them? I have a set on my RC10 GT easy to set the mesh and they are unlikely to strip the teeth. I've heard they are bad but no one will say why.

I use em. I love them too, I set the gear mesh perfectly and I wont be having a stripped spur/clutch bell problem anytime soon .

The only people saying that there bad are the ones who haven't tried them. I have a set and I love them. But Golden Horizon Has a really cool looking Combo that they just came out with.

i also have the rrp spur and clutch bell combo, and was pleased with the quality of the product. that said, i dont use mine anymore cause it is extremely heavy, which shows a noticable drop in the trucks acceleration. i honestly believe the part is not neccessary, the biggest reasons for a stripped spur is a bad gear mesh setting, or a worn bushing that the spur sits on. my sirio .27 has spent a good chunk of time residing in my savage, and the spur gear has held well. the sirio .27 is imo the king of the hill in torque and hp.
