RE: Need tips for doing a Flat Spin...
What kind of plane are you flying?
Start with a stall inverted, point the nose down with some down elevator and bring in full right rudder and full down elevator and full left aileron with a bit of throttle all at the same time, now slowly bring the aileron back to neutral and bring in throttle as needed. the aileron and throttle will help; you to flatten it out. NOTE some plane do not like to come OUT of a flat spin so make sure you have plenty of time to pull out until you figure it out. To get out just bring the sticks back to center and it might take a spin or two to come out of it. You will need a ton of rudder and elevator to do the move.
Hope this helps

hi mike
with a composite just go high rates get some height put in full rudder and full down elevator at about half power and away she goes it does not matter with this plane if you stall it first or not
these are a fun plane you will love it

Some planes are trickier than others to get into a flat spin. Some things to help you flatten out are to make your CG a little more aft, increase elevator throws, rudder throws. Try also instead of entering it totally stalled and inverted, stall it, point it down, roll a few times to get it rotating (start of a blender). Then push full down and left rudder. Start to center the ailerons and find a good position for the aileron stick to get you nice and flat. It's usually right or left of center center. Sometimes full left rudder with full right aileron can get you really flat depending on the plane. Like I said the most important things are an aft CG, high elevator and rudder throws.
