The "Little Dave" from Troy Built Models is a realisitic looking pilot and it's light.

I have one with the red shirt in my 2.6m Extra and he looks great. I've never seen another one, so you won't have the same pilot figure as everyone else!! It's a little hard to see the detail in this picture, but you get the idea.

thanks a ton...but i have a question.....why is it so much? its not a composite, and its almost 70$. is that a lot or am i just over reacting....

It's close to the others. Most stock pre-painted pilot figures are $50 to $60.

The "Little Dave" is made by the people at Crazypilots.com that make the custom pilots from your photos. I'll give you their quote on the construction. The figure is "cast in light plastic resin then filled with foam for strength". It comes taller than what you need. You can customize the height to your cockpit. It was easy to trim it down to the right size with a dremel drum sander. Then you just take the whole figure and lightly sand it on top of a sheet of 320 sandpaper to get it perfectly flat. It installed quickly and it's light.
