Default Hood latches?

I've seen a couple of close-up shots in the mags that show what appear to be operating scale locking latches on engine covers. Anyone ever seen any? Don't know if they were purchased or homebuilt, or if they worked, or just for looks.

Default wsmalley....

.....go to the "Jet Sites" and snoop around. Check with Bob Violet Models. The Jet guy's have hardware that will not be found at the local hobbie store.

Default Latches

BVM makes a very nice (carbon reinforced) hatch latch, but it's not a "scale" latch... More for attaching canopies, etc..

I too would like to read about a source for scale latches, meaning simply a smaller version of what is used on various actual aircraft. ...Anybody?
