Default Pump for retract air

What do people use for pressurising the retract air cylinder? I'm installing my first set of Springair retracts and where I usually fly nobody uses retracts!

Over here in the Colonies, we use a 12V battery powered air compressor.

Thats the one I have been looking for - saw it in a write up somewhere. Bet they are not available here in the "first world"

Any chance of some details - manufacturer & model ?

I have seen bicycle shockabsorber pumps witha pressure gauge -- do these work?

Rory, if ir will move air it will work
I've used bike pumps, a robart pump, and have eventually switched to a 12V compressor cheaply available in automotive supply stores or similar accessory dealers. Might want to check on ebay, ive seen some really great buys there....

i bought a couple of little tire pumps off of e-bay, for $1.99 american dollar. what i didnt catch was the 15 dollars each for shipping, ouch. but they work

use the 1/4 inch fill valve then you can use any stock 12 volt tire pump.

Being made in China I was fairly certain they would be available in the US and UK. Apparently not, only here in Australia. I have sent some to US and Kuwait. Perfect for the job. David Gladwin.
