Default Wing area tapered wing

Hi There!!

Can anyone tell me how to compute the the wing area for a tapered wing?

Wing span is 54 inches
Wing chord at root is 9.25 inches
Chord at tip is 5.50 inches

Anyone?

How about 796.5 sq in

Default Wing area tapered wing

796.5 sq" will give you a biplane.

For a straight tapered wing do this: add the root and tip chord, divide by two, multiply the result by the span.

for your wing you will get 398.25 sq"
