Default A nice trick for removing covering without leaving a scar in the wood

This was passed onto me from a fellow member of our club.

After you have marked the area you want to cut use a soldering iron to burn the cover into, then just peel away. By doing this you will never have to worry about weakening the wood.

Default Any heat will help removal....

...even the iron. Once you soften the glue the covering will peel
off easily. The heat gun works best, just raise up a corner and grab it with the needle- nose....then put the heat to it, and it will lift off alot easier than it went on.
