Can you clear coat over decals??

Is it alright to spray Automotive urethane clear over vinly graphics on a fiberglass cowl ? I am finishing my Carden Extra and getting close to painting time .Thanks Jack.

Sure, start off with light misting coats. I've done it several times.

I always clear coat around the edges of my decals with Lustercoat clear to keep them from peeling. So yeah I highly recommend clear coating decals.

I have had some reactions in the past doing this. It depends on the material in the graphics and the type of paint used.
You might want to test first.
