Essential REVO upgrades?
I have been seriously contemplating buying a REVO lately, and it will be my first nitro RC. If I were to buy the RTR, what are the first upgrades I will NEED to buy and how much money can I expect to spend all in all to get the REVO running decently. Also, are there any tuning tools I will need other than typical screw drivers? Like I said, I am not new to RC but I am completely new to nitro and I don't know very much about it. Also, how is the radio that comes with the REVO RTR? Is it at least good enough to run on for a few months until I can afford an m8? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

The stock radio is ok for a few months or forever, I don't like it, but I use M8 with spektrum, so you can tell the difference.
Must have hop ups...ummm none are must have. I only recommend the FOC, RPM Arms, and better Rockers and springs for your application.
Stock TRX2.5R is a great engine, right now mine is at 2+ gallons and running in my Jato now since my Revo got a new heart, an OS 18TM.

RE: Essential REVO upgrades?
I know what you mean by "essential upgrades" when it comes to most RC... but the Revo kit is complete and really has no required upgrades to run reliably from day one. The box has a TON of stuff in it, even down to little foam washers for the body. Duratrax has a good temp gauge that I would invest in. Otherwise, there really is no "preventative" maintenance mods needed on this sucker. Well, you could do the header mod (remove a small part of the header and put on longer flextube to compensate... search forum for details). Otherwise, get the regular nitro stuff not included in the box (fuel bottle, 6-cell batt for the EZstart + something to charge it, lexan scisors, etc).

RE: Essential REVO upgrades?
Well, I went nuts and found a good deal on a T-Maxx on eBay and decided to go ahead and buy it. It is used, but it looks great, and has only had 1.5 gallons run throguh the motor. I eventuall plan to upgrade the motor to a slightly more powerful motor. Are there any essential upgrades for a T-Maxx now that I have one? [8D]
