Gap seals
I have a question I hope someone here can help!
I'm applying gap seals to a large airplane, a 35% Extra, with clear Monokote. Are there any tips on how to do this cleanly without a large amount of wrinkles inbetween the surfaces when moved to their extremes?
Thanks for any help!

Gap seals
When you seal the hinge line it is important to apply the monokote to the hinge bevel with the surface deflected. Hold or tape the surface so it is held in place at the max deflection. Cut a strip of monokote about 3/4" wide (depends on the width of your bevel) fold it in half and iron it down. When the surface is returned to neutral the hinge line will be sealed and the surface will not bind. I prefer to use 3m blenderm rather than monokote because I find it easier to apply.
