I have one assembled without an engine.
I am not using PUll-Pull because I am going to mount the engine far enough forward so that I can put the servos in the tail
If INterested, I can take some pictures.

Hi, name's Ken (Starfighter). Have one, also powered with the 3W 100iB2, Cactus Signiture Series. Mufflers are Johnsons, with the pipes cut down.

My aircraft is equipped as follows:
Engine Mount: Chief Aircraft custom mount for the 3W
Ailerons: 4ea. HiTec HS5645 digital
Elevator: 2ea. HiTec HS5925 coreless digital
*Rudder : 1ea. HiTec HS 5945 coreless digital
Throttle: 1ea. HiTec HS 525bb hispeed

Receiver: 1ea. Futaba FP138DP
Battery(s): 2ea. 6V, Sanyo 2700mah NiMh/Flight Controls
1ea. 4.8V, Sanyo 2700mah NiMh/Electronic Ignition
Switch(es): 3ea. JR HD Charge Switch
Spinner: 4" Tru Turn Parabolic (NOT the "Ultimate" design)
Wheels: 4" Sullivan SkyLites
Tailwheel : Ohio Superstar "Haigh" Style
Prop : Menz/Biela 27x10

* Yes, ONLY 1 Servo, albeit a coreless digital with approx. 200oz.in. @6V. The servo is installed in the rear of the fuselage bay under the hatch opening on a tray, and it controls the rudder by pull-pull via a 2.5" long pushrod linked to a 3" wide bellcrank. The pull-pull cables are 60lb. test, coated braided fishing leader using DuBro accessories. Using this setup, I routinely KNIFE EDGE LOOP the aircraft, from either side. There are no issues w/"blowback" (after all, instructions call for 140oz.in. min. on this rudder using 2 70oz.in. or better servos).

Balanced at the color separation at the wingtip, and EVEN with this setup, I HAD to use some lead in the nose, so be prepared to add the weight. It IS NOT an issue with this acft. to add weight, as mine weighs approx. 24.7lbs., will perform ANY maneuver you can think of, and lands like a butterfly with sore feet.

By the way, I primarily fly Scale aerobatics and "Freestyle" extreme aerobatics(somewhat like 3d). I also fly Pattern and Scale, and have been modeling for 43yrs.(flying R/C for 33yrs).

Here are some pics of mine, the interior pic is when she had a ZDZ 80. Where the servos for the throttle and choke are I had 2) 6v 2,700 mh and put the throttle servo on the engine box. No extra weight was needed with the 3w in this configuration. I had carbon fiber gear and wing tube. I think she weighed 26lbs and flew very well. Not a great 3d plane but a very good all around flyer.

If I remember correctly I did reinforce the firewall so they may have been some slight modification. Sorry I'm not sure it was over a year ago and I have sold the plane since then.(never should have done that) Maybe someone else knows.
