How do we keep scalloped monokote from coming up??
I love to build bipes and like to scallop the front of the wings.... how do I keep from having them pull up at the tips after a few flights? I have tried polish and solvent. Any help?

If it's MonoKote, trim solvent, or Acetone will do it. just wet the edges for a few seconds. (Note: It won't work with Ultracote)
Another way for ANY covering is to lock the points down with CA. Put a little Thin CA on a pin and apply just a touch to each point. (Avoid using a lot, or you'll have to wipe off the excess which will leave a smudge - The smudge BTW, can be removed with Acetone)

I've also used clear nail polish instead of CA to seal the edges of sharp corners and the ends of narrow stripes. Take the same precautions that MinnFlyer suggested. Just a small dot where you think you need some extra holding power.

Several weeks ago I sealed the ends of several pieces of trim that was starting to come up with Testors cement for plastic models. I put a small amount of the cement on the underside of the trim, pushed it down with my finger wiping the excess off. Then the trim was held down with a finger for about 15 seconds. The model cement repair was simple, cheap, cannot be seen and seems to be holding well.
