what prop is that on the front of the plane in the bottom pic? are these planes going to be available in the states? I would like his 2m funtana, but the only one you can get here is the purple hacker version, and I prefer glow or gas. Who distributes Krill here?

That katana is so clean and beautiful! I can't find out what the price in USD is? Anyone have a clue? THere is a 47% velox at our field and it is outstanding.

For the prices just email them. They will respond pretty quick. You can see whats available by clicking the store link at the top of their webpage. Quality of aircraft is one of the best. My friend says it beats comp-arf quality. I have not seen his Katana yet so can't verify his statement, but I know how fussy he was with his comp-arfs.

I see carbon blade spars running through the middle. That won't be too popular in the US. That seems to drive the US pilots crazy. Only wing tubes for them. Just ask Composite-ARF.

I like that Katana S too. I called the rep in Austria. He told me the prices and approximate shipping cost to California.
All white: 1960 Euro
Painted: 2480 Euro
Shipping: 150 Euro
If the dollar ever regains some ground against the bloody Euro, it is quite affordable, and as Kelly pointed out, I am sure the quality is top notch. I am sure it's a great 3D plane, but I would like to know how it is at IMAC style flying also.

FWIW,I flew Krill's prototype Katana last weekend at the contest in Germany.Airplane is about 40 lbs after all modifications, but ZDZ 160 pulls it around like there is no tomorrow.
IMAC style flying is no problem at all.I do have my own Extra and I can say both these plane are very similar in flying characteristics.Rolls are very smooth and snaps stop on a dime.Didn't try any 3D,it was a borrowed airplane........kept it safe....
Workmanship is awesome, and so is the service from manufacturer.
Also I think you can deal directly with Krill Model.

Cheers

BTW, 2.6 M Katana is on a way......prototype should be in the air within 2 weeks......

Paul,
Thanks for your input. I had sent an email yesterday, but got impatient and called. I had received a very nice response to my email this morning, from Ivo Kryl. He gave me prices, the same as I listed above, but have these numbers as prices in US$ AND shipped to the learest airport (LAX). If that is the case, this model is becoming even more enticing. I have replyed back to Ivy with some more questions.
Can you tell me if there are made provisions for cans or pipes in the fuse on this model. If using four servos in the stabs, does it balance out fine with that light zdz160? I would use a DA150 myself, so should be less of a problem, but I can only compare to my experience with the Composite-ARF 3.0m Extra.

DK,
airplane with ZDZ 160 balanced fine, with 4 elevator servos.I don't think there would be problem with CG when using DA 150.There is so much room inside the fuselage you could probably croll in it.....[8D].... so you can move your stuff around.
Originaly he had regular mufflers(cans) and he thought it was too noisy. Then he put JMB tuned mufflers in it and that's the set up I flew. These mufflers were just mounted inside without any fancy cooling gadgets to keep them from overheating. And it was pretty warm when we flew it and never noticed any problems with them.
As I said, there is plenty of room inside to do whatever you desire with your set up.
I do have some photos of his set up,without tuned pipes though,so if you would like to see them, send me your mail and I will get them to you.
I'm sure Ivo Krill has some as well.
