330 LX & 3rd Generation Modeler
Hi All, just wanted to post a pic or 2 of our family of 3 generations of modelers / flyers. This was taken this month at the XFC in Ohio where we had a total BLAST !! It was so great that my folks (Fred & Jeanne) could also make it over to the meet and help us support and cheer Chris on - he did a great job and came in 5th place at his 1st big 3D / Free Style event ! We fly IMAC also and really enjoy it a lot !! Chris is a proud 3rd generation modeler who has been flying RC since he was 5 and was doing basic aerobatics with our YS 1.2 size Goldberg SU-31.
My dad (Fred) has been a modeler since he was very young (he is still flying well) and he taught me to fly Rubber Power and Control Line when I was just 4 or 5. We flew a lot of C/L and Free Flight and then got ino some old Single Channel (BANG/BANG - Escapement) and Pulse (Galoping Ghost) RC when I was in High School. My first Full House (4 Channel) radio was a well used single stick Orbit 3+1 Analog system that was not to reliable, [X(] but a whole lot of FUN !! Our best friend (Les Gustafson) gave me the radio for building him 3 planes - what a great deal !! WOW - we sure have come a long long way since then ! Just wanted to share this with ya. I hope a bunch more of you will send in some pics and info of your family modeling ! Take care and have FUN !!!! Rod, Chris and Fred Maier

RE: 330 LX & 3rd Generation Modeler
Here is my wife and I...she flies choppers and is teaching me. I build and tune the planes for her. I am proud to be her pitman, she rocks! We fly together and are a modeling family. My 14 month old son watches intently, he's already hooked. [X(]
