My Ultima Project...
Hi guys!
I recently finished my kyosho ultima project. I could have done the easy thing and bought something like a RC10GT/XXXNT/EvaderBX/ST...or whatever, but I love to tinker so blah!
When I got this vehicle, it was plagued with problems, but I came, I tinkered, I conquered .
Every part of this car that disatisfied me, I tackled head on, mostly having to modify parts from other vehicles to fit/work.
Powering this baby is a ported O.S. .12CV-X , with a CVEC pipe. She screams!
Radio gear is Futaba 3pm transmitter, futaba reciever, Hitec HS525BB hi-speed throttle servo, Hitec HS645MG ultra torque steering servo.
Other parts fitted: Custom CHUNKY (3.2mm) fabricated chassis, evader BX turnbuckles, evader battery box, 5 cell AA rx pack, lightweight alloy flywheel, t-maxx clutch shoes, kyosho alloy clutchbell (15t), GS15R pilotshaft, nitro 4tec carbon brake disc, duratrax airfilter, duratrax evader body, tamiya TG rear axles, kyosho 2 hole shock pistons & AE 30wt oil, Associated MGT inline primer and fuel filter, duratrax failsafe, duratrax exhaust manifold, Veno Speed Meter (yeah yeah, i know ), duratrax engine mount, reinforced diff case, running proline dirt hawgs (on road) and proline bowties/edge (offroad).
The 4th picture showing the chassis': Left, stock. Right, custom.

RE: My Ultima Project...
Thanks for the comments, It's something different from an evader/RC10GT/T-maxx with alloy slapped everywhere, It's easy to buy alloy parts and screw them on, but to buy things that don't fit or work, and make them fit/work...well to me that's what I call custom. Not everybody's cup of tea, but definately mine!
I bought it about 18 months ago....I've gradually changed things, but in the last 2 months, I took to it with a vengeance.
Criteria of this were reliability, and durability and modest performance. It has fulfilled all 3
The paint job was inspired slightly by the Koyosho Inferno Kanaii MP7.5.
My next project car on the cards is a bit insane...stay tuned!
