Savage 25 loose start problem
I have heard of these problems before......
You know where u insert the roto start?
It became loose and it wiggles a hell of a lot, so I am not going to start my savage until I tighten it.
I got some Locktight liquid for the screws but is there any other way to tighten it besides taking the engine w/ gears out of the truck?
When I take it out, do I have to retune anything and how would I get a good gear mesh so I won't strip anything.
I know little about the construction of the innards of this truck, i just know some basic repairs, I am a noob
thanks

RE: Savage 25 loose start problem
Only 3 of those allen key bolts hold the roto start to the engine the other bolts hold the roto start unit together.. I already found out that one allen key has broken the thread on the buttom left so only 2 are holding it on..
Other thing I noticed is roto unit will cause drag to the main crank when you get some sand into it very difficult to clean and very messy I might add..
PS make sure you put the rotation bolt that moves the crank the proper way. had to reopen everything later when I found out the engine wasnt cranking
