someone said it may be to short? , i ordered that one because it was what tower had in there ultimate combo for the savage so i figured it must work ill be pissed if they put something in the combo that wont work

I think its gonna be too short for sure. Went I got my 4.6 I had to buy a longer one that cooling has pretty huge.

I'd be on the safe side & buy the long one. I have a SS .25 & I use a standard length Tower glow starter & it works fine, but like said above, the cooling head on the 4.6 is probably bigger & thus won't accept a standard lenth starter.

I have a 4.6SS... I ordered the same Towerhobbies glow starter.... it works fine!

it might just werk but becarefull wen the engine is hot not to melt the plastic part of the ignoitor by leaving it on for to long wen trying to start-up!

here ya go just take the cooling head off and start it and then quickly put the colling head back on with somne duck tape. just buy another ignightor jeez. it wont fit

I bought the long version of that ignitor, with the gage. Too bad you didn't get a different one. Mine shorted out when I left it on the truck for about 30 seconds. Maybe others have had good experiences with this ignitor, but mine was a piece of junk. It's going back soon for warranty.
