Default Anyone here have any experience with the Sky Robo Mini Chopper

I've been flying fixed wing now for quite a while, but am rather new to the world of Heli flying. I have a Dragonfly #4 that's giving me a very hard time, and even with the Realflight G2 Simulator I'm having a really hard time with this. I was informed that this Sky Robo is an excellent flyer and would make a very good learning tool. Anyone here know anything about this Chopper?

Heres a little background on it: http://www.modelrectifier.com/produc...b_Sky_Robo.asp

Hey, .... I just bought one about 3 days ago, and this thing is awesome. I have no previous heli exp. I have messed with the sim, but as long as you know the controls you can fly this. Mine was ready to go out of the box (except for adjusting the trim). I just adjusted that last night, and it hovers very stable. You have full control...rudder, forward, back, roll left, roll right. I did alot of research before i dropped the $350 for this copter, but it is well worth it. I am very familiar with the sky robo now if you need to know anything else about it.

...also, i have the UNtethered version.

I'm not familiar with that craft specifically though if your into planes.. it'll never fly like one.. its very good at hovering, indoors mainly. If you like flying fast look at collective pitch heli's.

They sell 2 different kits.... The kit for $350 is Remote control (Wireless). The kit for $249 has like a 20 foot cord attaches to the Heli that gives it power. The extra 100 is well worth it to get the Rc Heli. You will have no limits and blade clash is not an issue as is with the tethered version.

I have purchased 2 Horobo XRB Sr Lama (the untethered version) from Rick's Helis
Very well behaved, if rather on the toyish side. But Dad and Brother #2 love them!!!!
Oh, $299 at Ricks! Buy a few sets of A and B blades. They are about all you break (unless you kill the power at altitude and fall)
