AW Edge 540 cowl baffles pics please
I am getting ready to install my DA 100 on my AW Edge 540T,I would like to see some pics of cowl baffles if anyone can provide some. They don't have to be of the Edge, general pics would be fine.I had a split cowl built for it from Stan's to make the process a little eaiser. Thanks,
Mike

This picture is not of my plane, but is of a 40% Edge 540T. This is not the best shot either, but it's a start. There are a couple of web sites and pages where they show close ups of baffling on cowls. If you are planning on doing a lot of torque rolls and hovering, by all means use the baffles. If not, you really don't need them. When the plane is hovering not a lot of air is being pushed over the engine and hence the baffles to help cool it off. If your flying around and not hovering all the time, there is plenty of air flow for the engine to cool. (Just my 2 cents there.) I also have a AW 33% Edge 540T and do not use baffles. Hope the picture helped.
