Default RE: VECTORFLIGHT MODELS?

I see VF has updated their web site with general instructions for wheel pant mounting, decal application, fuel tank and hinge installation, permanent belly pan attachment, and a hardware list.

Does anyone have the distance from the firewall to the spinner backplate for the Extra 300S 66" version?

I have the Vectorflight Sukoi and I love it very ease to put together and well made the hardware is excellent. Only one bad thing to say about it is the the balsa sheathing on the fuselage is to thin other than that it a super buy for the money!

OK --I have purchased a 540 edge . The kit is very well put together and nicely covered .
Problem ---- 4x 11inch wing supports two with 1 hole-drilled at one end and all 4 with 2 holes drilled at the other end and two 6 inch center pieces with 4 hole's in them . All 4 of the long ones are slightly curved on one side.
what goes where and curved side up or down

So am I missing something here as I will be damed if i can figure what goes where. HELP

On the joiner for the edge 540 if you look very closely on the joiners that there is a flat edge and one that is cut a very slight angle. You want the flat part of the joiner facing the top of the wing.

VectorFlight Edge540- 66" !! It's my best flying plane. And these guys really take care of you after the sale.
I'm saving my pennies so I can buy the Extra 66 next.
The manual is fine for those that have built a few arfs. Tough for those that have not I imagine. But for the money and the enjoyment I got putting it together and using my building knowlage to come up with new ideas during assembly....it was a great decision to buy VF. And all the guys on the VF Edge540 build thread have been great and we still communicate there. 40 something pages of start to finish Edge building and entertainment.

Heck,, I use the VF for my profile pic.

Nice looking plane Sturtz. What engine are you running on the business end and does it have the power to hover with a decent pull out?

Saito 100 with a 15x6 APC prop. I have hovered it at higher altitudes. But the 100 is not the engine for 3/D. Maybe a YS-110 or Saito120 would be better.

I have a YS .60FS with header and tuned pipe. Do you think this will be enough motor for the Xtra 300S?

I bet it would fly the smaller Extra300 great. Those YS motors run really strong.

All I can say about VF is customer service is FIRST RATE.

I email Chuck all the time and you would think he might get tired of my questions, but he does not. He sends me detail instructions and with PICS.

What a guy!!! GO VF!!!

I think my next plane will be the VF Extra.
