Erik, I enjoyed the vid.
I have always wanted to see a Cyclone fly on a turbine.
What engine were your using? How much fuel did it carry?
Is it hard to land? It seemed pretty fast.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
It's got an AMT180,full bypass.Carries 64oz+Uat fuel.Flies for 5mins WOT.It lands much slower now that I have moved the cg back.It was way noseheavy in the vid.Now lands at about half that speed. It is a good straight airplane with no bad habits, and as you can see,it hauls the mail.I'd like to stuff a little more gas in it to extend the flight time, but space is tight.

Erik, did you convert it from DF or build it for turbine install?
Was it difficult to make it 'turbine-worthy'?
I have a friend building one for DF now, but we've discussed putting a MW-54 in it.

Such a shame the entire DL line is no longer available. I thought they were well built and very affordable.

Erik,

i think the cyclone looked great in the air, and fast ... Don't have to tell you, but you know what you need back in your hangar again .....

I loved the video, I have a NIB kit in my garage, just smallest turbine I have is P-80 and that's not very small. Maybe a P-60 someday........

Sean and Jim,
I bought it turnkey from a friend(AceRCU).As far as I know its version 1 with the sport wing. It's a great jet.I lost my bandit in July, and Billy stepped up with this to keep me burning kerosene this summer.I think the P-80 has the same blow as my mercury,so you should be good Sean.
Woj,
Thanks for the kind words.I really do need another bandit, but I have to watch the funds.Works unstable, you know mechanics on strike etc.On another note,we're planning on going to Deck Friday.Let me know if you feel like taking a ride.
Erik
