Getting a Piccolo
Hi,
I am getting a Piccolo from a buddy of mine for a great price. I was wondering what mods I should do? I am only 15 and have a job but most of my money is going to Pattern Planes right now. I want to have the best flying Piccolo for what I can spend. What are the best upgrades that make it fly the best. I was thinking about some carbon blades.
Thanks
Andrew Jesky

I know people dont like them but it is just something I wanted and got everything from a guy that taught me how to fly for 80 bucks just because he didnt like it so its not liek I am going to lose money if I sell it and dont like it because everybody wants one.
Thanks

Sounds good. The only thing he said was that the tail rotor motor was going bad. Anyone know where I can get a god one I know GWS has one but wasnt sure if there was any better ones. Also he only gets 4 min flights on a pack is there anything else I can do to increase this time.

Getting a Piccolo
tail motors
to increase time
switch to li-poly batts abit of cash but worth every penny
a 2 cell at about $9 a cell
and $50 for a charger
and you can get a 1020mah pack with less weight than a 250m ni-cad!

Getting a Piccolo
I got my Piccolo! I have a question. I when i go to about 3/4 throttle it will just spin to the left. I just got a new motor for it. I was wondering if the different pinions will help any. It spins about 1 per second. It feels like I have no control at high speed any idea?

Gyro
On the gyros there is a switch marked n and r for normal and reversed. Switch to the opposite that you have it.
Before you do it though:
If the gyro is reversed, you shouldn't barely be able to fly, as soon as the tail starts to spin the gyro working coorectly, should counteract any yawing tendencies caused by the main rotor.
However, if its reversed, the gyro will compensate in the wrong direction and the darn heli will spin uncontrolllably until it crashes.
Also, if you can fly it and it is somewhat controllable then it starts to wander, it may not be reversed, you may just have to turn the gain on the gyro up closer to 75-100% to really hold the tail.
If you turn it up and it helps, keep turning it up until the tail actually starts "wagging" this means its too high, then just back it off a little bit (the gain) and it should fly nicely.
Be warned however, I fly .60 size gas helicopters and .30s and they are easy to fly ccompared to a piccolo. I still have yet to get my pic to fly as good as a colective pitch nitro machine.
Thx,
Aaron
