Chris Chianelli!
The local Hobbytown USA had their "Hobby Connection Event" today. They had R/C demonstrations, racing, clowns[:'(], and promotional stuff. Best of all, I got to meet Chris Chianelli. He is really cool to talk to. I had an April '97 issue of R/C car Action mag. with me (the articles he wrote back then were great), which he happily signed. We talked mainly about his TV show and a new Railroading program he will be hosting soon on the DIY channel, in addition to his current R/C show.
I have an appreciation for Hobbytown, since they are the only decent R/C shop around. I dumped about $40 just in bearings alone for my Ultima ST, but they have good prices on most of their other parts. I figure it's good for the local economy anyway.

I am glade that the Hobbytown USA in your city is a good one as the only hobby shop in my town is Hobbytown USA in Macon, GA and it is terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is hard enough to get them to wait on you much less have something as neat as a show. Sounds like a nice day.

I got a phone call from Hobbytown this morning. Turns out we won a prize drawing for one of those Megatech Floaters (I think it's a blimp). I'll post pics later once I have it. It's a good thing that my bro, my dad, and I went, so we could each put in a seperate entry card.
