Default BVM Heat Shield

BVM Heat Shield

Hi Everybody,
I’m finishing my first turbine airplane and I want to apply Heat Shield coat in turbine compartment. Should I use any kind of thinner, because contents of the can it too dense to apply it with a brush (even after stirring).
Regards
Marcin

You should not need to thin it. It should be in the form of a thick almost paste like consitency.

Default Heat shield!

Marcin,

I have used BVM's heat shield paint on several models in the past. The material is very thick from the can. (don't thin) I applied it to the tail of the plane and some hatch covers with a cloth. First put a rubber glove on and then swab it on with a medium size rag, then throw the rag away. It makes the job a lot more easier than trying to brush it on. Be sure to put two coats on every surface.

Hope this helps.
